This group uses other fun crafts throughout the year to help support our Church's outreach programs such as decorating Christmas stockings for Child Advocates and assembling stitch kits for Yellowstone Academy.

    Information about this group:

The mission of St. Clare's Guild is to "bring together stitchers of all ages and skill levels to beautify our Church, support our outreach programs and nurture the needlework in our members to the Glory of God." We have new "take-home" projects that can be stitched for the Church. On 13 mesh we have St. Martin's crosses with Swarovski crystal beads, tree skirt chrismons and large crosses, and baptism bookmarks. On 18 mesh (smaller holes) we have Christmas candy canes, a Christmas candy train, a mini-nativity, Santas, and holiday ornaments to be stitched. Larger projects are the wedding kneeler that we hope to finish stitching by early 2011.

New! We have commissioned a very experienced and talented ecclesiastic needlepoint artist to design the chancel area cushions and kneelers for The Church. We are all very excited about this project and expect to have design approval and some canvases to stitch in the fall/winter. Our first guest instructor workshop will be held in October, when we will be learning the art of "needleweaving," or the creation of 3-D effects on our canvases for baskets, hats, scarves, etc.

Please join us at any of our stitch meetings in the Activity Center Upper Hall (east):

St. Clare's Guild - Wednesdays: a weekly stitch time from 12:00-3:00 PM.

St. Clare's Guild - Sundays meets one Sunday a month, from 1:00-4:00 PM.

Note: This group will not meet on holidays or during Church campus closings. Please contact the group leader for updates.
