
The Rev. John K. Graham
The Rev. Dr. John
K. Graham serves as Director of Outreach Ministries. He also oversees
Evangelism and Service to the Community, as well as assisting in Pastoral
Care. Dr. Graham also teaches Adult Confirmation classes to prepare individuals
to be received or confirmed into the Episcopal Church.
Before becoming a priest, John Graham was a physician, board-certified in two medical specialties otolaryngology and plastic & reconstructive surgery. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin and a Doctor of Ministry degree in congregational development from Seabury-Western Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.
At St. Martins, John has established several ministries in the area of discipleship: a small-group ministry for men Mens Covenant Group; a lay prayer group St. Martins Prayer Ministry Team; a Christian Meditation Group; a Spirituality in Art class; and the Order of St. Luke the Physician, a lay ministry for healing prayer. John serves as chaplain to a number of parish organizations including Daughters of the King, Cursillo and Saintly Stitchers. Every January, he leads an annual retreat to Laity Lodge in Kerrville, TX.
Dr. Graham is very active in the diocese of Texas. He is a founding member of the Board of Directors of St. Lukes Episcopal Health Charities, a ministry that reaches out to the medically under-served in this region. He has served as the Spiritual Director for Cursillo in the Diocese of Texas and as an Alternate Deputy to the 2003 General Convention of the Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He is the author of two books, Mold Me and Shape Me, and most recently, Graham Crackers and Milk: Food for the Heart and Soul.
John and his wife, Pat, have five grown children and fifteen grandchildren.
