The Rev. R-J Heijmen is the Assistant Rector for Outreach, Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

R-J works to help support our growing pastoral needs, works more closely with outreach and provides priestly guidance to the exponential growth of our various Youth Ministries. He and his wife, Jaime, are natives of Connecticut and California, respectively. After completing their studies at the University of California, Berkeley in 1998, they were married in the summer of 1999. Having started a young adult ministry at a church in California, R-J and Jaime were then called to be the New York City Directors of FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools), where they served from 2001-2006 and during which time their two boys, Jackson and Spencer, were born. From 2006-2008, R-J was a seminarian at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry where he received his Masters of Divinity. For the last four years, R-J has been the Founding and Head Minister of St. Paul's Church on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.*
