Sun., Feb 12Are you ready for Lent?
The Bookstore & Gift Shoppe is selling the book, Provoking Thoughts, by the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr. This compilation is designed to carry one through the season of Lent.

Books may be purchased now in the Bookstore & Gift Shoppe for $10. Consider also purchasing Preparing Room, the Advent companion.

For more information, contact the Bookstore & Gift Shoppe at 713/985-3840.

    About this book:

"The ache of the human heart has always been to be made whole and the thrust of the Christian hope is that it can only come to that wholeness by being connected in a personal relationship with God, through Christ. This book is intentionally written as perhaps one more avenue towards deepening, strengthening and for some, maybe birthing such a relationship." -- the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr.

"Dr. Levenson's book speaks so powerfully to the heart of contemporary people. I love the natural, easy way he writes. Furthermore, he does not duck the tough questions as some preachers tend to do, neither does he offer simplistic solutions to the moral demands that come our way day after day. Instead, he reminds us why being a Christian is the most wonderful thing in the whole world." -- The Most Reverend and Right Honorable Dr. George L. Carey, 103rd Archbishop of Canterbury
