The Rev. F. Stuart Shelby

The Rev. Stuart Shelby received his BA in Religion and Congregational Studies from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. As a seminarian, he served at St. Paul’s K Street in Washington, D.C. and Saint Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac, Maryland. Prior to entering seminary, he served as the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Monroeville, Alabama and later as a church planter for the diocesan mission which became Church of the Apostles in Daphne, Alabama. Since his ordination in June of 2005, he has served at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Fairhope, Alabama.

Father Shelby brings a rich variety of gifts, having served particularly in the areas of young adult ministries, small group development, mission and outreach and pastoral care. He is a deeply committed Christian, who shares our value of the biblical/evangelical and orthodox faith as it is lived out in our Anglican tradition.

Stu and Crissy have two lovely children — Lucy who is three and Samuel who is still shy of his first birthday!
