Young Professionals

Young Professionals (for ages 21-30) meets most Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Island for Bible study and theological reflection. Enjoy some conversation about spirituality and faith, and socialize with friends both old and new.

On the first Tuesday of each month, we host dinner at the Island, from 7:00-8:30 PM.

During Lent, we have weekly meditations appropriate for the season.

College

Our college students may or may not live in Houston during the school year, but we count on them returning during holidays and summer breaks. They participate in outreach activities such as Lord of the Streets, Church Under the Bridge, C.C.S.C. and St. Vincent's House in Galvston.

We also host a Christmas Party every year for our current college students in order to continue to build a bridge ministry. At last year's party, we began exploring plans for a college mission trip to Nicaragua over the summer!

Key Group Leaders

Each Key Group is led by an adult volunteer who works with host families and students to determine the most
effective time to meet each week. These volunteers facilitate the Key Group discussion and study, maintain communication with their students outside of group meetings, and serve as mentors to disciple the students in their group. Key Group Leaders are encouraged to attend student-centered games, concerts, productions and events.

One Key Group Leader serves as a liaison between the other leaders in their respective groups (middle school and high school) and the Small Group Coordinator. Middle School and High School Coordinators are responsible for communicating information, schedule changes, and special meetings (service projects, dinners, multi-group gatherings) between Key Group Leaders.

Volunteer

Once a month St. Martin's volunteers assist C.C.S.C.'s Department of Emergency Services. We sort food and clothing donations, and staff the Food Pantry and clothing shop. No experience is needed. Your volunteer work here makes an immediate difference in people's lives. This community service is also suitable, with parental supervision, for young people aged 10 and older. We meet under the big tree in front of C.C.S.C. at 3434 Branard (2 blocks south of West Alabama at Marquart, east of Edloe Street) at 8:50 AM and work from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Wear your Outreach t-shirt!
