Movies with a Message is a new way to enjoy fellowship by watching a movie with a clear message about faith in Christ, and then learning from a discussion led by Clergy members. Join us for Holy Eucharist, followed by dinner and a movie screening and discussion. Come for part or all of the evening!

Oct 18: “The Jesus Revolution”with the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr.

In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places, until he meets Lonnie Frisbee, a charismatic hippie and street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith, they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to a JESUS REVOLUTION that changed the world. Oct 25: “Unbroken: Path to Redemption” with the Rev. John D. Sundara

During WWII, Olympic athlete and Army officer Louis “Louie” Zamperini’s plane crashes into the ocean, and he is picked up by the Imperial Japanese Army after surviving on a raft for 47 days. He is a prisoner of war for many years. At the end of the war, Louie returns home, carrying the scars of war. Yet, he experiences a powerful conversion and goes on a long journey to forgive his Japanese captors while serving God. Based on the true story and book, “Unbroken.”

Nov 1: “All Saints” with the Rev. Alex D. Graham III

Paper salesman turned priest, Michael Spurlock, finds himself at the helm of a church with dwindling membership and a diminishing budget. He attempts to save the church and a group of refugees from Myanmar. What enfolds is the amazing true story of faith and mission, where God brings life to his church.

Nov 8: “Risen” with the Rev. Naomi Sundara

Clavius, a Roman Tribune, supervises the crucifixion of a Jewish freedom fighter named Yeshua (aka Jesus). Yeshua’s body disappears and Clavius’ soldiers claim his disciples stole his body. He embarks on an investigation to interrogate Yeshua’s disciples to find the body before a riot breaks out, only to become increasingly convinced that Yeshua’s body was not stolen at all.
