Join us as we welcome The Rev. Max Lucado to St. Martin's!

Max Lucado is a pastor, speaker and bestselling author who, in his own words, “writes books for people who don’t read books.” For more than 30 years, he has served the people of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. His latest book, “Help Is Here: Finding Fresh Strength and Purpose in the Power of the Holy Spirit,” offers readers an invitation to experience the energizing strength of the Holy Spirit.

When the global pandemic began in 2020, Lucado started a daily video check-in. These messages have been viewed more than 42 million times since March 2020 and are now turned into The Lucado Encouraging Word Podcast, one of the top podcasts in religion and self-help with more than 3.8 million lifetime downloads. Lucado and his wife, Denalyn, live in San Antonio and celebrated 40 years of marriage in 2021. They have three grown daughters and two grandchildren.

Come celebrate with fellow Parishioners as St. Martin’s marks its 70th Birthday. Our friend, the Rev. Max Lucado, Senior Pastor at Oak Hills Church will preach twice Sunday morning. His sermon title for both services is “Come Alongside Me.”

Between the two services, he will lead a very special All-Adult Christian Education Class. His upcoming book “Help Is Here: Finding Fresh Strength and Purpose in the Power of the Holy Spirit,” will be released Sept. 13 and is available in St. Martin’s Gift Shoppe.

ECW welcomes the Rev. Max Lucado, Senior Pastor at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. St. Martin’s is thrilled that he will be part of the 70th Anniversary Events: preaching Sunday, Oct. 2 at the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services, leading an All-Adult Christian Education class at 10:15 a.m. in The Church and giving the Homily at the All-In Parish Picnic that evening.

Max Lucado’s latest book, “Help is Here: Finding Fresh Strength and Purpose in the Power of the Holy Spirit,” is on sale at St. Martin’s Gift Shoppe.
