Praying the Jesus Prayer

St. Paul wrote, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

What did Paul mean by “renewing of your minds”? Some believe the “Jesus Prayer” is the means to respond to this charge. Long an essential prayer of the Eastern Church, the Jesus Prayer belies its power with its simplicity.
