Amistad Mission is a non-profit organization that seeks to manifest Christ’s love for the poor by helping Bolivian children and families in need. They have a la Villa orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia where St. Martin’s sponsors the children of Casa San Martin and their mama.
Bayou City Blessings mobilizes the local community, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends and during school breaks for Houston children who might otherwise go hungry. Their mission serves to raise awareness of childhood hunger by building community and establishing relationships with their educational partners to improve the lives of Houston children.
Child Advocates mobilizes court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse. Volunteers serve as advocates for abused and neglected children through the court, child protective and educational systems; and make certain these children are living in safe, permanent homes and receiving rehabilitative services. Training is provided.
Through the annual St. Martin’s Angel Tree Project, volunteers sign up to purchase Christmas gifts for children in foster care, adoption and mental health services provided by DePelchin’s Children’s Center. St. Martin’s sponsors 250 children each year.

Kids’ Meals helps to end childhood hunger by delivering free, healthy meals to the doorsteps of Greater Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration providing their families with resources to help end the cycle of poverty.
Village Schools International has a dual mission: to enable those in villages who would otherwise never get to go to school to have the opportunity to get an education; and to send missionaries into villages where missionaries have never lived before to share the Gospel. We partner with people in villages in Tanzani, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, and Kenya to help them build their own schools.
The Nehemiah Center provides a high-quality education for students while helping their families get the information and resources necessary to have stability in the home. It serves and follows children as toddlers through their college years by engaging and retaining family participation year after year, creating the opportunity to build trust and a sense of community through relationships.
Small Steps Nurturing Center provides an exemplary early childhood program to instill and foster the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth of economically at-risk children and their families. They operate two preschools for economically at-risk children living in the Fifth Ward and Gulfton/Sharpstown communities of inner-city Houston, Texas.
Undies for Everyone provides new underwear for over 100,000 U.S. children living in poverty or crisis. With newfound confidence and self-esteem, students are ready to learn and grow.
By providing an academically rigorous Christian education, Yellowstone Academy is answering the challenge of the education crisis that faces many economically disadvantaged students in Houston’s Third Ward. Volunteer opportunities are available for at least one hour per month to help as a lunch buddy or academic tutor, assist in the early childhood chapel or library, or provide support through Scouts.
