The Rev. Dr. Jim Jackson, Jr.

For 20 years, Dr. Jackson was the Senior Pastor of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston’s Memorial area. He retired in 2014 and currently does executive coaching for several large corporations and life coaching for individuals. Dr. Jackson received a Master of Divinity from Emory University and a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary.

Dr. Jackson is a frequent guest preacher at Riverway and has led numerous Christian education classes at St. Martin’s. He

Dr. Lynn Cohick

Dr. Lynn Cohick is a Distinguished Professor of the New Testament and Director of the Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University. She has published academic and popular works, including commentaries on Ephesians and Philippians and extensive writing 0n women in the New Testament. Dr. Cohick earned a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is President of the Institute for Biblical Research.

The Right Reverend Mike Hill

55th Bishop of Bristol

The Rt. Rev. Mike Hill has been a frequent guest preacher and Christian Education teacher at St. Martin’s for more than a decade. He was born in Manchester, England, and educated at Wilmslow County Grammar School and the North West Cheshire College of Further Education. Before ordination, he was a junior executive in the printing industry and went to Cambridge to study for the Christian ministry at Ridley Hall and Fitzwilliam College. His first Curacy in the Church of England was at Addiscombe St. Mary in the Diocese of Canterbury. Afterward, he moved to the Diocese of Oxford to take several posts. He was Archdeacon of Berkshire before being appointed Bishop of Buckingham and later became the 55th Bishop of Bristol.
