Helping Children after Tragedy

A Special Parent Q&A Seminar
Monday, July 14
6 p.m.
Parish Life Center

Presented by the Hope and Healing Center & Institute’s
Dr. Matthew S. Stanford and Dr. Madeline Stiers

In the wake of the tragic July 4 flooding in the Central Texas Hill Country — where families experienced unimaginable loss — many parents are left asking: How do I help my child process this?

Children are especially vulnerable to the emotional and psychological effects of trauma. This special Q&A session offers a space to ask questions, find support and gain tools for navigating these difficult conversations with care and faith.

Topics include:

  • What to expect from children after trauma
  • How to talk with your child about loss and fear
  • Supporting emotional and spiritual healing

Come find guidance, hope and a path forward — for you and your children.
