Parish Choir Concert

This Fall, the Parish Choir of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church presents Part I of Felix Mendelssohn’s monumental oratorio, “Elijah,” which dramatizes the life of the Old Testament prophet through three pivotal divine interventions: the revival of a widow’s son, a theophani display of divine judgement by conjuring fire that rains form the sky, and the ending of a three-year drought and famine with an abundance of rain.

Accompanied by instrumentalists from the Houston Symphony Orchestra and Dr. David Henning on the Gloria Dei Organ, this moving concert promises an unforgettable evening of sacred music.
