Lives and communities are transformed by providing access to education, leadership training, and healthcare; through church planting and Christian discipleship; and through holistic care for vulnerable children, and women and men in need.

Missionaries in Asia

St. Martin’s also supports a second missionary team that we do not identify because of the threat of violence against Christians in the area that they serve. Please pray for them and their ministries.

Sole Hope

Sole Hope works to bring hope and healing to Ugandan children suffering from foot parasites called jiggers that, if left untreated, can cause them to drop out of school and be shunned by their community.

Shoe Parties are an excellent way for you to make a global impact without ever leaving Houston. During your home party, you will cut and prepare fabric uppers from old jeans that will be used by Sole Hope’s Ugandan cobblers to handcraft shoes for vulnerable kids. Last year, St. Martin’s volunteers cut out over 350 shoe patterns that were then sent to Ugandan cobblers.

This is a true hands-on opportunity for people of all ages to join in the shoemaking process! No special sewing or cobbler skills required, and all supplies are provided. This project is kid-friendly and great for the whole family!

Kits are available for pick up by sign up on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. from the Front Reception Desk and should be returned to the same location by the following Monday at 3 p.m.
